Contact & Get Involved

Despite these being doxological songs, I've played most of them in pubs, festivals and gigs, and still do.  But I'm interested in getting together with followers of the Way (especially those who 'do Jesus', but find church a challenge).  I'd like to share more about the stories behind the songs, and use them prayerfully with anyone who's interested.

If you can get between 20 and 50 people in a suitable space, why not host a house gig?  Everyone gets involved, whether with percussion or singing - it's not a spoon fed 'performance'.  But it's a chance to dig a little deeper and explore things together.

All you need is a big enough space to host everyone, a willingness to get everyone there, and a commitment to cover travel costs and hold a collection for donations.

If you have more people interested, I'm happy to get some musical friends together to play larger venues and events, or play with local musicians.  But I would prefer to work with you to create the right context.  Email me and let's talk about how it could work.

Writing Retreats

In 2015 I will convene a couple of writing retreats for  musicians, songwriters and wordsmiths who resonate with what I've tried to do.  My attempts are not a template, and they're not going to work for everybody.  But I hope they point to possibilities. I'd like to create space for people to outwork their own authentic creative expression.

Maybe you have previous involvement in writing 'worship' or doxology for church.  Perhaps you've explored the mainstream music industry, or feel otherwise disconnected from mainstream 'worship', but retain the devotional impulse.  Maybe you've wrestled with social justice issues too.

Either way, there's an emerging sound that has nothing to do with music, but which music and song may help to amplify, so email me and let's see if we can connect.
